The general requirements are 480 credits over a period of normally four years (and not more than five years) or part-time equivalent, of which the final two years form an approved Honours programme of 240 credits, of which 90 credits are at 4000 or 5000 level and at least a further 120 credits at 3000 and/or 4000 or 5000 levels.

Further requirementsChoose 120 credits in academic year With the approval of the School 30 credits from PS4000 - PS4195 may be taken in another subject.BPS recognition for Psychology Degree: Passes in PS3021, PS3022, PS3031, PS3032, PS3033, PS3034, PS3035, PS3036, PS3037, PS3038, PS4040 and (PS4050 or PS4299 or PS4797) are required for recognition by the British Psychological Society. In order to be eligible for accreditation, students must gain at least a Lower Second Class Honours degree. This recognition is required for those who wish to gain employment as professional psychologists. |
Passes in PS3021, PS3022, PS3031, PS3032, PS3033, PS3034, (PS3035 or PS3036 or PN3313), (PS3037 or PS3038), PS4040 and (PS4050 or PS4299 or PN4299) are required for recognition by the British Psychological Society. Due to current to timetable clashes, this may not be possible for degrees in combination with Theological Studies, Economics, History, International Relations, Management, or Social Anthropology. This recognition is required for those who wish to gain employment as professional psychologists.
In the case of students who spend part of the Honours programme on a recognised Study Abroad scheme, the Programme Requirements will be amended to take into account overseas courses which are approved by the relevant 91¹û¶³ÊÓƵ School in the Learning Agreement (see ).
