Key details: An informal workshop to improve your confidence in writing at PGT level.

Course information

The workshops will be open to all PGT students and aim at increasing students’ confidence in approaches to writing, in order to increase both their capability in written assessments and transferable skills to support their next career stage (whether continuing to PGR study or entering into employment).

In the workshops, we willÌýnot proof-read, edit, or discuss any assessed work that is not yet submitted.

Aims and objectives

By the end of the workshop you should be able to:Ìý

1. Understand the different types of sources

2. Understand how sources are useful in creating effective evidence

3. Gain confidence in critical analysis

4.ÌýUnderstand the need for argumentation in academic writing

5. Understand methods you can use to improveÌýyour argumentationÌý
