New PhD, MPhil, MSc (Res) and MSt (Res) students from all disciplines.
Course information
This in-person induction event will give new research postgraduate students the opportunity to learn about University structures, policy, and procedures, as well as to meet and get to know some other new students. The event is structured around three聽panels of speakers from across the University and cover the following topics:
- Welcome to the University and research community
- Understanding how the University works for you
- Q&A with current research students
After each panel there will be an opportunity to ask questions. A number of information stands will be available in the venue for you to engage with before and after the event.
Researcher Essentials
An聽interactive panel session with professional services staff from across the University. The aim is to make you aware of the full range of support and advice (and recreational activities) available to you as postgraduate research student, so that your time at 91果冻视频 is as rewarding and productive as possible.
The programme for each Essentials session involves a series of short introductions to the wide range of support and societies available, such as:
- Careers Centre
- Entrepreneurship Centre
- Registry
- Public Engagement with Research (PER)
- Research and Innovation Services (Open Access & PURE)
- Research Data Management
- Copyright: Keeping it Legal (for teaching and research)
- Library and Special Collections
- University Chaplain
